IMMUNIZATIONS

WHY VACCINATE? Vaccinations help prevent many diseases that could harm you and your family. Many viruses and bacteria are still circulating and this is why it is important for everyone to receive all of the recommended immunizations on time. Most vaccine-preventable diseases are caused by germs called viruses or bacteria. Vaccines help your body recognize and fight these germs and protect you each time you come in contact with someone who is sick with any of these diseases

The Chariton County Health Center provides immunizations for infants, children, and adults. However, depending on your insurance the vaccine might not be covered. We receive vaccine form the State that we can use to vaccinate clients who have no insurance, underinsured, or Medicaid. We also receive vaccine from Vaxcare where we can bill your private insurance or Medicare. At this current time through Vaxcare we can only vaccinate certain age groups.
